Our Story

Our Love Story starts back in 2020 - we like to think of ourselves as a Lockdown success story!

We met in February and by March, after a few very successful dates, Matt popped the 'girlfriend' question and thus began a new adventure together. Or so we thought! Little did we know that just 2 weeks later the world would be put into lockdown and we had to be kept apart. Our main method of communication became Zoom calls (despite Mari's dislike of video calling!). We always say this was a make or break situation- but we discovered that being forced to stay apart only made us more determined to be together. We have made the most of our time together ever since, sharing a similar love for travel, exploring, live music, comedy and most importantly - eating & drinking!

Our love for these things brought us to the incredible Beaverbrook Hotel in Surrey on December 1st 2022, where Matt popped the 'fiancee' question to an immediate yes. And the rest, as they say, is history!

We can't wait to celebrate with you all on our big day :)

Nearby Airports

For our UK friends, we recommend flying into Kerry airport (KIR). There are also frequent flights from the UK into Shannon & Cork airports.

Getting around

The best way to get around is by car. Hire cars are available from the airport. Alternatively, there are plenty of taxi's in Tralee town.

Where should I park?

There is plenty of free parking at the hotel.

What is the dress code?

Dress to impress! Formal wedding attire.

Where will the ceremony take place?

Our marriage ceremony will be held on site at Ballyseede Castle. So once you arrive, you can relax for the day and enjoy all the festivities in one place!

Is the ceremony indoors or outdoors?

Our wedding ceremony and reception will be indoors. It is Ireland after all!

Can we bring kids?

With the exception of Mari's niece and nephews, we have decided that our Wedding Day will be adults only. We hope those with little ones understand and if able, can still celebrate our day with us :)

What if I have a dietary requirement?

Don't worry, you will be catered for on the day. Please add this to your RSVP.

We would like to give a gift - what is the best way to do this?
